Default 97 Yamaha 250 30" OX66 Fuel Injected for Sale

I have 97 Yamaha 250 OX66 Fuel Injected for Sale with bad compression in two cylinders. It is a 30" Shaft model.

The oil resevoir sensor went bad and it caused the rings in the two affected cylinders to stick.

I repowered with Suzuki so I have EVERYTHING removed from the boat.

This includes Motor, Prop, Binacle, Gauges, Keyswitch, Resevoir and anything else that says Yamaha on it.

Motor ran awesome before the oil problem. Nothing else is wrong with it.

My local Yami expert quoted me $2000 for a rebuild.

The motor is in San Diego, CA. I can get a crate and help with shipping at buyers expense.

I'm asking $2500 OBO.

You can email me at ali@bloodydecks.com with any questions.

Just curious, did the sensor effect the delivery of oil, or, did you just fail to get notified of a low oil tank? How long did you run it before the problem became apparent? Any knock?

Sorry for the delay.

The sensor controls both the low oil alarm and warning buzzer.

I noticed a surging on the way in from a trip and put it on the trailer ASAP.

I think this is why the damage was minimal.
