The 60-100 is considered a fast action - heavy 50 class.

1st item is the STX 60-100 Black Silver - 5' 6" solid composite blank, Pac Bay Eliminator jr roller guides (great for braid), #24 Pac Bay Reel seat, aluminum gimbal and coated with Flexcoat Ultra-V.

Right now I have 4 that are finished, but as the week goes on a will continue to take these off the lathe until they are all gone. If you do not take part in the first set of 4, it will be a few days before the others will be ready to ship.

I may also be interested in a complete set of 4 depending on how long the butt is from the last nut on the ferrule. I have some rods that it was about 11 inches and the reels would hit the gunnels so they were too short for my application. Thanks

The length of the butt from the gimbal to the top of the reel seat is 16 inches.

When you look at the photo - from the gimbal to the bottom part of the reel seat is 10.5 inches.

Reel selection for the STX 60-100?
This rod blank is on the heavy duty side of the 50 class and it can easily take 50# of drag.
If I were to match up reels, I would look for something that is 50 class that can produce 30-45lbs of drag. The rod can take more, but at 50 lbs, the line from the reel will start to touch the fore-grip from the deflection.

Can you set up a set of 4 with 2 on bent butts? Do you recommend these rods for yellow fin and wahoo fishing? High Speed for wahoo all with be with 50 class reels?

Also what color options are available?

I have similar rods with removable butts. You can find them at TrollingGear.com
The first 10 pages of that thread are all stand-up rods and you can put any butt on those that you need.

The rod works great as a high speed platform for wahoo and anything else that ends up in the spread.

Just got my STX 80 Pro, and I have to say that I am VERY impressed. I usually order fully custom rods, but after hearing so many good things about Pinnacle, I decided to give one a try.
