John,
Do you have the 400g Spinning / Jigging Rod - For Spinning Reels in Black/Silver available?
Just got a Daiwa BG 6500 spooled with 65# J Braid and wonder if that will be a good fit for it. Have you tried throwing poppers with this rod? Mainly for jigging but wonder if I can use it for throwing to schoolies YFT. Thanks

new to trolling, just picked up 2 Tiagra 50s, mainly trolling for Tuna and Mahi and occassional wahoos. what do you suggest what rods would be ideal?

For those who are not a big fan of the Roller guides and would prefer a rod that is suited for live baiting, bottom fishing/ jigging / and trolling - this rods for you.
The Fuji SiC guide selected for the rod qualifies as a heavy duty boat guide with a stainless frame and deep press SiC insert. We decided to go with the best on this, and when it comes to durability - FUJI is tough to beat. The rod has a lighter tip action to see a bottom bite, yet has the backbone to handle the big boys when that time arises.
Rod Specs
Class - 20-50 lb
Price - $160 with 18" removable straight butt, $175 with short curved
Blank - Solid Composite - 20-50 class - medium action
Guides - FUJI - PHNST and PHBSG - 7 + Top
Butt - Pacific Bay #2 - Comes standard with 20" straight butt
Rod length with 18" butt is 5' 8"
Rod Color Options
-Blue/Silver - SOLD OUT
Black/Gold - AVAILABLE

In the July time frame I'll likely be pairing up a few reels that I have with more of your rods. Was curious as to your suggestions for them:
4 Fin-Nor Santiago 12's
30lbs strike, 35lbs max
1000yards 30lb braid

4 Fin-Nor Santiago 25's
40lb strike 60lb max
1040 yards 50lb braid

2 Penn Squal 50's
SQL50VSW
Will likely run 100lb or 130lb braid with 80lb diamond mono topshot
30lb strike, 40lb max

SA25's will likely be loaded with 65lb braid with a 50lb mono diamond top shot (93lb abs). Haven't figured out what the correct line is on the SA12's.

I'm trying to decide if I can get away with high speed trolling the SA25's because the impressive drag numbers. 50's will be bent but rods for anything you would use 50's for in the Texas Gulf coast.

If I can't run the SA25's for high speed I'll use them as I would a TLD25 with straight butt rods. 12's will be used for things like Bull reds in the jetties or lower speed freshwater trolling most likely.

Hey John,
I'm needing two #1 rods. The XR series with Eliminator Jr rollers and bent butts. Needed in blue/black or black/gold. I'm putting Okuma 50 wides on them. Mainly used for Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna, and occasional billfish bite. Was thinking the 30-80s. What do you suggest? You show them as clearance in the first post. Do you have these rods in stock? If so what is my cost for two of them shipped to South Carolina.
Thanks

The XR series rods with Eliminator jr roller guides are $170ea with short curved butt.
Currently I have them available in black/Gold and Blue/silver in the 30-80 class.

The 30-80 is the best match for that Okuma 50 and your target Game

Shipping for a set is $33

Get with me before 1pm central and they can go our today.

Default Winthrop Terminator Rod Butts

For those who really like to spend money, this is an available option for you. I can put a terminator butt on any of the rods in the catalog per request. I will only have a few of these in stock at any given time, so if you request it, be prepared to wait if I don't have exactly what you need.
