Talking Thanks John!

Just received my four rods from John. They look great and I can’t wait to try them out. John was a pleasure to interact with; he is extremely knowledgeable and responsive. I’m thinking of ordering some more rods and replacing my mid-shore trolling rods.

What’s the difference in the sword 30 rods and SRT or XR series ? Different actions ? Better blank? Seems to have all the same components.

The Sword 30, 50, and 80 rods all have Carbon fiber E-Glass Blanks. The XR, and TSX rods are all solid Glass unless you want a custom build, and then I can put any blank in it you like.

Hey John hope y’all had a chance to get out the other day when it was 1.6 seas. I have a 30 and 50 vsw I want to get rods for what’s the action on the XR PRO and SRT and what’s the SRT line rating and what’s the difference between the XR PRO and the TSX other than the guids?
Thanks

If you are looking at the XR PRO, they are available in 30-80 and 60-100. Both of these blanks are 50 class, but one is going to be medium action while the other is heavy. The guides are 80 class braid, and wind-on friendly.
The TSX has the large Wind-on so the blank has to have a larger diameter to support the guide feet. This blank is considered a heavy 50 class and it has more of a parabolic curve than a fast taper. At 40 lbs of drag the TSX 50 and the XR PRo 60-100 look very similar to each other.
If you have any specific question. please feel free to give me a call
