That rod will serve you well. I have a cool picture of my buddy Greg getting tight on a 100 lb YFT with his last Saturday. You will find that that rod is great for just about anything - Snapper -Grouper-- AJ - YFT - White Marlin - Cobia - Kings........

Here is a cool Customer Pic

Good morning Sir,

I would like your opinion on the best rod to pair up with Avet LX or Avet TXW for trolling Mahi, Tuna in South Florida? Also do you have any rods for a Penn Spinners 6500s?

For those who are not a big fan of the Roller guides and would prefer a rod that is suited for live baiting, bottom fishing/ jigging / and trolling - this rods for you.
The Fuji SiC guide selected for the rod qualifies as a heavy duty boat guide with a stainless frame and deep press SiC insert. We decided to go with the best on this, and when it comes to durability - FUJI is tough to beat. The rod has a lighter tip action to see a bottom bite, yet has the backbone to handle the big boys when that time arises.
Rod Specs
Class - 20-50 lb
Price - $175 with 18" removable straight butt, $185 with short curved
Blank - Solid Composite - 20-50 class - medium action
Guides - FUJI - PHNST and PHBSG - 7 + Top
Butt - Pacific Bay #2 - Comes standard with 20" straight butt
Rod length with 18" butt is 6 foot
Rod Color Options
-Blue/Silver - SOLD OUT
Black/Gold - AVAILABLE
when will the Blue/Silver be available again? I would like 4 rods with 20" straight butts.

THTers - Thank you for your patients. This last week has been a life changing event. I returned from my yearly hunting trip with shortness of breath and chest pain. Long story short, I had what in called a widow maker blockage in my LAD (left ascending anterior artery). I spent 3 hours on the table in the cath lab at the hands of an amazing interventionist who placed two life saving stents. Gratefully, I am still here to write this message to you all, fish with family and friends and continue to make memories. I feel 100%, but my instructions are to chill for a few days. I will be in the shop this week, making calls, returning emails, and shipping orders on a limited bases. I should be full-on after Thanksgiving. Thank you all for your patients, and have a wonderful Holiday!

Wow, close call there, send a post when you are ready to do some shipping, my 400g spiral jigging rod needs a twin. My buddy had a stint put in not long ago, it gave him more energy than he had in a long time, also made him feel like a young fellow in more ways than one!

Glad to hear you are well. My dad had a similar incident about 7 years ago, he had some issues and decided to have a heart scan at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. They did not want to let him leave after seeing the results, next week he had two stints and another one a week after that. My girlfriend immediately made me an appointment that thankfully did not show any blockages. Take it easy and enjoy the holidays...will be ordering from you again soon!!!

Speedy recovery John, thanks for sharing.

I called a few months ago on looking at a pair of bent butts with swivel tips for fast trolling wahoo on tld50 LSRAs. If you could hook me up with rods in stock that fits the bill that would be great. Not color partiular Also like to see if you have a five foot gaff too. Going to get my stress test rescheduled I blew off a few months ago!

Thanks,

Just saw this, John. We're all glad you made it through and will wait until you're cleared before we begin the onslaught again.

Wow, Lucky it happened when you were within treatment range! I had the same thing and so did several of my friends. Every guy over 40 should have a checkup and stress test. There are early intervention tests to alert to clogged arteries even if you don't feel bad. Glad to hear you are on the mend. A scare like this causes life-changing routines and diet.
