10 YEAR BATTERY!

Ocean Signal RescueME EPIRB1 - Category 2

The rescueME EPIRB1 provides peace of mind with an impressive 10 year battery life. The world's most compact EPIRB can always be on hand, as its small size allows it to be easily retained within its quick release bracket or placed in an emergency grab-bag or life raft.

A simple protective tab over the operating keys prevents inadvertent activation, yet allows for easy operation when required. The rescueME EPIRB1 also features two high brightness strobes to maximize visibility in low light conditions.

The retractable antenna provides maximum protection and a reduced outline for stowage. When required the antenna is easily deployed with a gentle pull.

For longer offshore or ocean passages, the Ocean Signal E100G EPIRB offers an exceptional 96 hour operational life with the option of an automatic release housing (mandatory for vessels approved under SOLAS regulations).

30% smaller

Brian, how does this unit stack up against the ACR 2844 GlobalFix Pro Cat II EPIRB? It is around $75 more, but has a rebate offer for a $116 MSRP Ditch Bag.

Thanks Again for all that BOE does for THT

"F...", i hope your 2nd post on THT was a "quote" error and not trying to be humorous. If the later, don't quit your day job

Both are owned by the same company, the ocean Signal has a 10 year battery and the ACR does not

Does the ACR come with a mounting bracket? It appears the Ocean Signal comes with one?

Reel the big things for me were 1) EPIRB floats with antenna up to broadcast signal. the PLB would have to be held for the antenna to be up to broadcast. 2) EPIRB 48hr run time PLB 24hr run time. I would hope someone would be there before 24 hrs but i dont think i want to chance it.
