Default 2001 Ford Expedition XLT

We want more room because we have our 3rd baby on the way and in need of more tow capacity. (purchasing a suburban so we may have the 3rd row and storage for the kids stuff/stollers)

2001 Ford Expedition XLT 2wd
4.6l Triton V8
Tow capacity is 5800#
Tan/Tan interior
~58000 miles
Newer tires
recent brakes
Class 3 hitch
running boards
3rd row seating
Power drivers seat
fair condition (has a few door dings but has never been in an accident)
Asking $8,900 or make offer

Truck was primarily used a grocery getter by my wife. Rarely used for towing as I have had a non-trailerable boat 3 seasons of the 4.5 years we have owned it. I also keep my boat wet slipped so it was only used for short hauls for maintanence and service.

Have averaged over 20mpg on a trip from MD to SC running the A/C with all the kids and "stuff"

Here is the only picture I have of it as of now:

Thanks I hope someone else sees this as a great deal as well.

FWIW, if you had your Parker for sale at that price back in July, I would have been all over it!!! Great boat!!

I have about 7 months on a Durango lease with a 12k buyout. I would be very interested in a few more months. Too many lease payments left to eat. It is a very good deal though.

Thanks

Just trying to get a few hundred over Trade-in so I can negotiate better. It is tougher to negotiate when a trade-in is involved..

You'll sell it pretty quickly I'd guess. I had a 2000 Expedition XLT with over 100K miles on it that I sold a couple months back for $8500. That's a good price.

Good luck with the sale.

If you can find a quick buyer, have the dealer perform a "courtesy trade" so you get the tax advantage of the aprox. $8.5K selling price. That could save you another $500 !!

I think you must pay full sales tax on a vehicle in MD (although you only pay tax on the difference in boats).

Any interest. Will tow a smaller boat perfectly, seats 9, and has just under 60,000 miles. Tough deal to match anywhere. do a search!

Can you get me more pics? Is the interior cloth or leather?

The interior is cloth. It is basicly the base XLT (not XL). I added a class 3 hitch and running boards. It also has a power drivers seat. I will try to post pictures tomorrow as I just returned from a family Christmas party out of state.

Take it to CarMax and see what they will buy it for. Pulls it out of the trade in negotiations.
