For anyone who may doubt these, they are great rod holders at a great price. The clamps themselves alone cost 55.00 with out the rod holder being welded on.

Good question. They call it 1.5" Pipe, but I think that is the internal measurement. The actual external diameter measurement is close to: 1.875".

Once you get to this size, the pipe sizes are fairly consistant.

With the insert: 1.600"
Without the insert: 1.900".
