Since it is new in a sealed box, he likely does not want to break the seal, You can google it if you don't know what it looks like - and $500 is one heck of a price for a new one. I wouldn't be surprised if it does not sell inside of 1 hour at that price.

It's a decent deal, Pelagic Outfitters has them for $599 spooled with braid. So your saving just $20. If this doesn't include shipping well, you won't be saving anything.

Depends if this is the original 1000, or the newer model that has 1 less ball bearing and a few other less expensive features. If it is the new one, you're right. If it is the original (that has a few more features), this is one heck of a price.

You are thinking of the bull.

This is not the bull. You are Saving $100 basically minus the line.

Still a good deal.
