Also 100% made in the USA.

Again, thanks Mike!
Rookie question but would this type sock be effective in slowing down trolling speed while under idle power?

Thumbs up

100% correct, and thats really their intended use. Shaped very similar to a drift sock but built using much heavier material and made is several sizes. Trolling bags don't typically function well as drift socks if used as a drift sock because they're so heavy. They take heavy, constant load (and surge loads from wave action and forgetful captains that leave them deployed when they throttle up to head for home) much better drift socks/bags can due to their heavy construction. We've recently upgraded the thread used in their construction to the Tenara like the T-tops for life long stitch reliability.

They best used in pairs and are quite common on the Great lakes where typical trolling speeds are as low as 1mph. They work well for slow trollling baits for King Mackeral too. When attached to the mid ship cleats, they trail along side the boat as drag chutes. An added benefit is that they dampen the boats rocking action a bit too when beam to the waves.

Heaviest duty on the market that I'm aware of. Thanks for the question!

We'll be making a couple more up on Monday.

Lost the email from the guy with the 25 WA that wanted the 10' bag in blue. I've got the 10' bag in Blue ready to go. Please PM or e-mail me at G2Outfitters@gmail.com
Thanks, Bob

Default Another happy customer

The drift sock works beautifully. Was able to keep my 20' bowrider over the Charleston 60 Reef locations a lot longer w/o running the engine.

Appreciate your responsiveness to my questions and prompt shipping after payment. Product quality is great and it deployed easily. It was nice that everything fit into the bag you provided even after adding the main/trip lines.

Anyone needing a drift sock should be contacting you!

Cheers!
