Default Radio Direction Finder

Anyone out there interested in a Apelco(RayMarine)direction finder.I purchased a full set of replacement electronics for a boat I sold before installing this equipment.I've sold everything but the RDF and matching VHF radio which I'm using at the time.I purchased this unit in 1988/89 and it is new in the box and complete with all manuals, cables, etc.I've noticed RDFs today run anywhere from $1500 to $3000.I believe I paid around $500 back in '88.I would love to install this on my Reg. but there's no room for any more electronics.Asking $300 shipping included.PM me if anyone's interested.Bill SOLD SOLD SOLD

I found your manual online with Raymarine....

http://www.raymarine.com/SubmittedFi...ns/AXL1500.pdf

It appears, however, that it only DF's an EPIRB signal. I guess as long as people understand it doesn't work unless one is being transmitted, this is an awesome deal. (unless I read the manual wrong)

It did say "asking" which to me means make an offer. The courtesy of a response either way would have been nice.

Wow, I wonder what my RDF is worth? I put it together myself. It was working when I took it off the sailboat in 1976.
Any offers?

That's pretty cool.

I think he might still have it..
