Default Twin 250 Mariner EFIs with 23P Mirage plus Props

Two 1998 250 Mariner EFIs
Port motor had a new power head installed before I bought the boat. Only had 8 hours showing on motor . Maybe 50 now. Other motor has about 800 hours. Spent the better part of the spring and summer building the boat and doing all the custom adds I wanted so not a lot of use on it since I bought it and compression was great on both motors. I had them check in Fla before I bought the boat.
Found someone that getting rid of 08 225's and he's moving up but he is selling them stright out.
$5000 takes them both. $5400 with the 23p Mirage plus props. Found out today all wiring cables and shifter will come with the sale. Turn key install and ride. Motors will be off and ready for shipping. Shipping charge is your cost.
Shipping will be from Bellhaven NC at Radcliff Marine. I do not know the zip code.

Never did understand the reason there were two motors but the Marinar and the mercury are the same thing. Propbender might be able to explain the split up of the company. He is here on THT Use Search .. Every part on the Marinar is the same as mercury has so they are the same motors from what I understand. Think it had to do with politics. These are the 3.0 motors.
Any input from someone that knows would be great. ?????

What type of performance did you get out of these engines on your fountain? WOT, and cruise fuel burn etc.
I may be looking for a pair for the scarab.

55/56 kt with the mirage plus. I ended up using the lazar props with the smaller blades and I only lost 2 mph on top end but its a rocket out the hole and I don't care about top end running. I fish!! Fuel burn is 1.3 with the mirage and 1.2 with the lazar. Top rpm with the lazar is 5750. Little less with the Mirage. Have twin flow scans. Cruse is 35kt give or take 2 or 3 depending on waves. 3800 rpm.

Yes and no I have not got it yet. But there is a reason. LOL
The guys that is buying sent the check to Radcliff Marine over night last tuesday. Paid me 200 to pull my boat down there and have the motors checked out. Tracked his check fed-x to Greenville NC but Radcliff Marine Closed wed at Noon and do not reopen till Jan 4th. The guy wanted to deal through the marina instead of me so sent the check to them. I"m sure everything is a go. Had them listed on e bay (Idem number 110471302844) also and thats where the guy saw them. Have app to have my boat at the marina either way for the motors on the 4th.
So not trying to be funny but deal is in a way, still pending. Have one guy on e bay thats interested and if you are and anything happens I can let you know. Thats kinda the best I can do right now.
Burnt 82 gals yesterday hunting stripers with 6 in the boat. 4 strokes are nice but love that 2 stroke hole shot .
