Default 2006 Duramax Silverado towing machine

I am putting my 2006 Chevy Duramax Silverado up for sale. LT Crew cab, short bed, four wheel drive. Blue granite metallic color

Lots of options, here are the highlights.

35,000 miles

Chevy major guard extended warranty through 8-2-2011 or 60,000 miles

Leer fiberglass cap

Titan replacement 45 gallon fuel tank

Bed Rug bed liner

6 speed allison transmission

Lots of other options including:
tubular assist steps
6 way power driver seat
Camper mirrors
HD trailering package
Polished aluminum wheels
electronic shift transfer case
fog lamps
redundant radio controls
pickup bed rail protectors
off road skid plates

This truck is a towing machine, towed our 31 Contender almost effortlessly. With the 45 gallon tank you can go a long way between fill ups and choose the best, cheapest stations to buy your fuel. I bought this truck new and rigged it right. No accidents, only a couple very small scratches. All maintenance records, and and with the extended warranty you will have years of worry free trucking. Just put new tires on.

I will post pictures as soon as I can. Asking 28,900.

Call 201-926-8315

Where is the truck?

What transmission?

Can you explain the LT trim package for those of us who may not know. Does it include stuff like leather seats, seat heaters, etc?

Thanks.

I have a 2007 silverado 2500 classic duramax loaded just like yours. These models are by far the strongest trucks GM has ever built. Your's will make a good buy for someone.

I love the Titan tank, had the install done by a local rep. Shop around, price varied by quite a bit for the install.

Keith, I am not sure but believe it is a LBZ, how do you check?
You have mail.

We get around 15 all around driving, 18-21 highway depending on speed and wind direction, and 8 to a best of 11 towing our 31 contender again depending upon speed and even more important wind direction and speed. We could probably do better but I can't make myself drive slowly

2nd time: look at your VIN. The 8th digit will be either a 2 or a D. 2 indicates LLY and D indicates LBZ. Also, check to make sure your 10th digit is a 6 for the year (2006).

Thanks and I replied to your email.

Hey Ed,

The LBZ is the model of duramax engine that came after the LLY. It has more HP and torque. The 2006 LLY and LBZ engines are mechanically the same but different programming to get the higher HP and torque for the LBZ.

Thanks for the info.
