I checked on a 2003 Contender for someone else and Sunshine marine tanks (the tank manufacturer for Contender and many others) told me the main on that vintage 27' Contender tank is 105 gallons, not 120. The 105 gallon tank is 17.5 inches deep so this sender will not fit your tank.

Call Mako with the Hull ID # and ask them, call the tank manufacturer, or remove the current sending unit and measure the depth of the tank.

You will need to know the depth of the tank to get an accurate reading for any brand or type of sending unit.
