Default WTB: Steering Tube - Suzuki - FOUND

Need a steering tube for a 225hp Suzuki. I think any model 150hp and above will work. It is for a 1997 Suzuki.

This part is the piece that holds the two sections together and that the steering goes through.

Thanks,
Jeff

That part frequently rusts out so you'll likely have to get it new. Check with obspec here on THT.

Hawkeye,

There is a nut on one side that sits outside the housing and one that sits on the inside. Take the outside nut off and drive the shaft out the other direction. The inside nut is welded on and will come off. Just make sure you have something to put in there (large rod or screwdriver) especially if it is hanging on a rack otherwise it will seperate from the mount.

I had the same problem on a 97 model 150. Found out that the yamaha tube is the same type and that is the one I bought.

Looked at and tried to get it off. Looks to be in to bad a shape to sell. I cant get the one side of the hyd steering mount off to get the tube out. Again not worth the effort for the condition of the tube. Sorry. Lot of other parts are good on this engine????
