Lone Ranger - 7/25/2008 9:45 AM I'm interested!How is the bite compared to a Mirage 2?
The Mirage Plus is Merc'c top line, the Vengeance is more of a multi-purpose prop.

The reason I ask is that I have a couple Mirage 2's.But they blow out on my Boat, anything under about 4K rpm's,they just won't bite.Put a Rev-4 on and it bites like a Pit Bull! Was lookin' for a 3 blade that may work. Thanks! [Mike]

Lone Ranger, I have the same problem. All of the big diameter props seem to do that on my boat (Rebel, Mirage, Apollo, Powertech). All the smaller props I have tried hook up with no problem. I suspect that the larger diameter must be drawing air in via the surface.

Mercury props overall have been the best.

The Vengeance is a smaller diameter than the Mirage Plus

Right, I should have pointed that out....that the Vengeance may work where the Mirage did not. In fact...all of the other 3 blade Merc props have not blown out on my boat (the mirage was the only one that did).
