Looks like this unit is also for sale on Ebay. What gives? If it is the same unit and with your description it appears that it is, you make no mention of offering this unit for sale on THT. Does that mean if someone offers to buy it here, you will sell it? If so, Ebay will come after you for offering something for sale that is not there. By the way, the current bid on Ebay as of right this minute is $438

Here is the Ebay Description:

Up for auction is a Furuno 1850DF/NT color GPS/DGPS Chartplotter/Fishfinder that uses C-Map chart cards. Everything shown in the photo goes with this auction, including display unit, GPA018 GPS/DGPS antenna w/4' whip and cable, power cable, mounting bracket, mounting knobs, cover, operator and instruction manuals. GREAT CONDITION! If you plan to use the unit as a fishfinder you will need a transducer, that is NOT included in the auction. I also have a C-Map C303 chart card that I will make available for purchase to the winning bidder, covers the Mid-Atlantic region.

Unit is approx. 5 years old, full working condition, used on a vessel with an enclosed wheelhouse, no corrosion anywhere on head unit. Unit also was just serviced by Furuno with latest software updates, new memory battery and complete unit testing. The only blemish on the unit is a short hairline crack (which has been sealed) on the top back left hand corner of the dark grey trim (the corner shown in the one photo). Not even visible when viewed from straight ahead, this does not affect functionality of the unit at all.

Below are the complete unit features from the Furuno website. The DGPS accuracy of this unit is PHENOMENAL! Whether you use the unit for cruising or fishing, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Happy bidding!

Please enlighten us or at least me.

I don't believe I said it was illegal. What I said was it was not disclosed that he has it for sale. When you sell on Ebay, you have to disclose if you have it for sale locally or else the sale must complete if it is an auction sale. (That is how it is listed on EBAY) So if someone is interested here on THT, then you cannot buy it now because he has an AUCTION sale over on Ebay that will complete in 6 days.

Get it now? It is not dirty. Just let us know that it is going to sell on Ebay and then we won't waste time talking to him about his unit that we cannot buy here on THT. If I was looking to buy his unit, I now have to go to Ebay to get it. That is my point and nothing more.

Not to Jack this guys thread, but you are incorrect you can end an auction right up until the day it is scheduled to end, and one of the bonafide reasons available on Ebay is "no longer available for sale" There is no need to post that it is for sale elsewhere.

Get it now?...... Putz

P.S. captadamnj back to the top and good luck with the sale

Hey mindfusion,

First of all I was not talking to you when I left my comments on this thread, so if you are going to be a jackass why not have more than 14 posts so we can know just how much of a jackass you really are before we waste time reading your comments. Secondly, most people will not put an item up for auction and end it while there are active bids but once before the buyers find out and never bid on your items again. That is my point; not that I have to explain it to you with only 14 posts.
