Shrug..Great looking set up (I know zippo about that stuff)... My wife mentioned recently that she wanted to get a tank for the kids. Do you really need all that stuff to have the tank function ?? How much would it cost to stock it like your picture ? Maybe a road trip is in order for me. Let me know

Byram,

I kinda built the tank like a boat, put every option on it that i could. The first thing you would need to do is get the tank running and all of the levels right, very simple. Once the tank is running you can start adding life to it, not to much at one time, but things start to grow and before you know it, you have a good looking reef. My reef probably took about 4-6 months to start looking like the photo.

With a lot of those options, it allows you to not have to work on the tank all the time. You can leave it for a week and not have to manage it.

I've got a lot of base rock that i'll give you to get your foundation of the reef going. Said and done you'll probably have about $300 to have it looking good, between fish and coral. Remember everything is alive and they grow then split, then the pieces that split you can move them all around the tank and keep it growing.

Chad
