Default Zeppelin HST *New B-Liner Neon Color*

1.) SL-1121 Blue Back/Purple Bars/UV Belly/Black Vein over Purple

2.) SL-1321 Blue Bars/UV/Red Vein over Purple

3.) BL-1121 Blue Back/Purple Bars/UV Belly/Black Vein over Purple

4.) BL-1321 Blue Bars/UV/Red Vein over Purple

5.) BB-1521 Black/Hologram Glitter/Red Vein over Purple

6.) BB-1523 Black/Hologram Glitter/Red Vein over Red

7.) VS-1725 B-Liner/Yellow Vein over Tequila Sunrise

COLOR SELECTION TIPS:

SILVER HEADS (SL): The silver heads have been the top producers in the Carolinas and GOM. The SL-1121 is a great lure if small tuna are present in your grounds. The SL-1321 has a bit more UV reflectivity in the skirt and is a better choice in less than fully blue water.

BLUE HEADS (BL): Very popular with the NE Canyons fisherman who have been targeting wahoo more and more with each passing year. Use them for high-speed trolling on the runs or while scouting areas for signs of wildlife. One thing is certain, if you hook a Wahoo on the high speed troll other wildlife is sure to be nearby. Run a BL-1121 midday when the sun is high. Run a BL-1321 for early morning and late afternoon, or cloudy days.

BLACK 'N BLUE (BB): It's not easy to make a black colored head that doesn't look (to a fish) like it's been dead for five days. Updated for 2019 with a slight UV additive to bring them to life. BB-1523 is the Florida favorite while the Bahamas anglers prefer the BB-1521.

VERMILLION SNAPPER (VS): Extremely popular in the Jacksonville area but also favored anywhere the "Beeliner" is a prevalent bait fish. Ranges from N.C. to the Keys.

MIX 'N MATCH: Since all lures are hand made you can mix 'n match any head color with any skirt combination, all you have to do is ask.

CUSTOM COLORS: Something you just "have to have"? Shoot me a PM, let's talk.

Default Pricing

ZEPPELIN HST LURES:
Lures have a 38 oz. hard alloy head and are 18” in length. The heads are powder coated with proprietary colors proven attractive to Wahoo around the world. Skirts are hand-tied for easy replacement even with hooksets in place. Large prismatic eyes are set in resin to keep them in place regardless of trolling speeds. Even with the 18” length the Zeppelin HST lures are effective on Wahoo of all sizes. Each lure comes with a user guide printed on waterproof paper so you can take it out with you fishing. Zeppelin HST lures are streamlined to pull with less static drag than other lures of the same size, and even less than many much smaller lures. The lower static drag allows for a deeper presentation than other lures when using the same trolling sinkers. The two short positions behind a 64 oz. and 48 oz. sinker are proven to be very productive. Lures are hand-made in U.S.A. from 100% domestic materials..
$48 each plus $14 US domestic shipping (1-6 lures).

RIGGING:
Lures are sold with / without rigging. Rigging consists of a Double Hookset on 480# cable with +/- 3' of cable in front of the lure and a stopper sleeve at 6" in front of lure. Custom cable lengths are available on request. Fore hook is 11/0 4X SS Needle-Eye hook. Aft hook is a 10/0 4X SS hook. Fore hook is stiff-rigged, aft hook is free but not swinging. Hooks are spaced with tri-beads to add color and flash to skirting. All components are first quality and carefully selected to stand up to HST demands. Please read the customer posts below if you have any question about the quality of my rigging.
$20 each with no additional shipping if purchased with lures.

SHOCK LEADERS:
Shock Leaders are standard 30' length of 250# test pink monofilament with 450# AFW SS snap swivel and chafe tubing on both connection ends. Custom lengths available on request.
$15 each with no additional shipping if purchased with lures.

STEALTH RIGGING:
Lures and shock leaders can be permanently joined with a SPRO Heavy wind-on swivel on request. This eliminates the snap swivel in front of the lure and provides a smooth transition between shock leader and cable leader. It's a little bit of a PITA to manage lures with the shock leader permanently attached, but then again so is hauling big 'hoo over the rail. I run all of my HST lures stealth-rigged as I'm convinced it puts more fish on my boat. Custom cable/mono lengths available on request.
$0 No additional charge with purchase of a rigged lure and shock leader, all you have to do is ask.

Weight-forward design for deep trolling with cable through brass bore for easy cable replacement. Solid brass beads to reduce cable kink at sinker body. Sinkers are powder coated white for reduced lead strikes and safer handling due to less lead exposure.

Default Replacement Skirts

REPLACEMENT SKIRTS:
Available for all of the lure color combinations listed in Post #1. Zeppelin HST lures utilize a size TT-50 outer skirt over a size TT-45 inner skirt. Skirts are sold in "Mix 'N Match", you choose the colors and size. I recommend three size TT-50 outer skirts per two size TT-45 inner skirts. As a long time Wahoo troller this is about the rate of consumption. Order plenty!
$5 ea. plus shipping. Minimum Order 5 Skirts.

SIZE TT-50 OUTER SKIRTS:
#11 Blue Back / Purple Bars / UV Belly / Black Vein
#13 Blue Bars / UV / Red Vein
#15 Black / Hologram Glitter / Red Vein
#17 B-Liner "B"

SIZE TT-45 INNER SKIRTS:
#21 Purple / Purple Glitter
#23 Red
#25 B-Liner "A"

Ono-
are skirts tied on or glued on?

Also, approximate diameter of head? I would like one of the SL-1121, unrigged.

Thanks, KRV

Skirts are tied on, no glue! Head diameter is 38 mm at skirt ring, sized for a TT-50 outer skirt and a TT-45 inner skirt.

PM to follow for a SL-1121. Great choice if you have skipjack / wavy back tuna where you fish.

Default Just in Time for Hoo Season!

Finally, I've been waiting on these lures for a year. Please expedite!!!!

I want three rigged. A SL-1321, BL-1321 and a BB-1523. The only modification I'd like to request is the aft hook to be a 11/0.

I'm looking forward to fishing the production models! Great job Mark.

Please PM me for my shipping address and paypal info.

Only you would want 11/0 trailers...done. You do know many people here are already afraid they can't catch anything with a 10/0 right?

You owe me nothing for the custom work aside from another bikini shot, this time with a big one! Pink bikini please, not that there's anything wrong with the black one, pink is my favorite color.

Thanks for the kind words and good luck slayin' tiger stripes. I hope your arms fall off!

Thanks Ken!

I read your posts where you said the ‘hoos are all safe when you’re fishing this year, maybe you wanna try a BL-1321 to turn the tide?
