Kill switch with Mercruiser IO

I have a 7.4 liter Mercuriser with a "Open to Stop" kill switch. The kill switch switches all of the ignition circuit current and is protected with a 20 amp fuse.
The relay contact of the MOB unit are rated at 5 amps. This means I can't wire the MOB directly into the kill switch. Looks like I will have to add an external relay that is rated for as least 20 amps. Major pain in the ass as now I have to order a relay before I can complete my installation.
Are the relay contacts of the MOB rated to switch an inductive load like a relay coil?

I needed something quick so I just went with an automotive relay and put a diode snubber across the coil. It's really too bad that they didn't put in a relay that works with the 10s of thousands of Mercuiser IOs and inboards that are out there.
