Default Heads up if you have Yamaha DEC controls

Finally have time to get my 1st Mate installed and have realized that the Yamaha wiring pdfs are for engines with mechanical controls. The ignition switch used with Yamaha digital controls (DEC) does not have the red and black wires with bullet connectors used for hub power. Ticket opened with support and waiting for them to get back to me (it's a weekend so probably Monday). I'll post their response here, but where it's a hub power connection I'm hoping I can just run one of the red/black pairs to the switched side of my fuse block.

Hi Tirekicker,

You are correct, If you do not have the bullet style connectors you can connect power to your electrical panel using a 5 amp fuse.

Just as an FYI we do provide an additional adapter in the Quicksilver 1stMate 2-3 engine vessel kit that goes from bullets to Yamaha 6 pin connector plug, picture attached, for engine cutoff wiring. Please PM me your service ticket number so I can also make sure I respond there . Thank you! FELL Support

Paul got me sorted today. It's okay to direct wire the power connection to the fuse block and use a 5A fuse.

Really great support on Paul's part. I had another very stupid imagined issue and Paul gently set me straight

Yep. I had to do the same. Paul called me back on a Saturday morning and walked me through it. EZPZ. Awesome service!

I don't want to speak for Paul, but he said the Fell products would be back in stock on June 15th

Where to buy?
