Default mounting surface thickness

Can someone tell me the maximum thickness of the mounting surface where the collar nut can still engage on the threads.

on a similar note, the installation instructions suggest using an adhesive to mount the unit if the surface is too thick. Has anyone done this, and if so, what did you use . is 4200 from the rear a good option?

Thanks

I went out and measured mine, with the collar nut engaged 4 full turns, it would mount in up to 1-1/2” thickness.

If I had to use adhesive, I’d use 4200. But I think you’d have to adhere on top rather than from behind. Without the collar, there’d be no mating surface in the rear.

Hello,

Just to add as an FYI the portion of the Hub that is mounted is 1.9 inches long and the threads to mount the collar nut go all the way to the bottom. So mounting in up to 1-1/2" inches is correct.

All the dimensions of the Hub can be located on page 2 of the manual.
