Default What # Springs

Posted this up above in truck/trailer section, but just noticed this forum...

About to order springs from Easternmarine

I have a tandem axle trailer with 3700# axles (on tag near tongue). Options on springs (they appear to be 20" springs...trailer is a "Vantage" which i believe is similar/same as Venture) are 1830# and 2500#.

Boat is a 21' Sailfish...is there any issue going up to a 2500# spring or should i stick to the 1830s which would, assuming these are the weakest link in set up, bring GVWR to a little lower than the axle rating?

I'm also redoing brake lines and going from galvanized to the flexible lines. Looks like the 20' length would be what I need (brakes on one axle). I'm assuming this is correct?

The bolts for the spring/hangers appear to be 1/2" (bolt/nut heads are 3/4" as far as I can tell). I read on easternmarine.com site that 9/16" appear to be most common for trailers under 10k GVWR, though.
