Default Kids and iPads in resturants.

Trying to have dinner with my wife. We are next to a table where both kids are watching TV on their iPads without headphones. What the hell is wrong with people?

I'm trying to have dinner and some old geezer is typing with his thumbs on an old iPhone while glaring at some kids quietly using some iPads.

iPads have basically become pacifiers for kids. I canít imagine itís good for focus or attention spans to be constantly entertained whenever you want.

Kids should be sitting on their hands and only speak when spoken to. What are the chances of going to dinner and encountering kids that make noise?

If I am buying the meal there are no phones or iPads in use at the table. Learn the art of conversation. Amazing.

Iím all for it atleast they arnít running around yelling pissiní me off. What really throws me over the edge is people talking on cellphones in a restaurant the kids are young and immature. A grown adult though they should know better.

Product of their environment.

No electronic devices allowed at my table in my house when my grown boys or anyone comes over. Not allowed if we sit down together in the den to talk either.
My boys are 26 and 31 and know better.

You want to push buttons, go outside and let the skeeters eat your ass up..
The few friends I have leave their phones in the truck when they come over to visit.

The issue for me is the lack of headphone use. It's not just kids. Many adults believe everyone wants to listen to their entire conversation or "funny cat" videos. Use headphones or watch with the sound off.

So me and the wife are in a restaurant enjoying a dinner in silence while we are using our iPads. Along comes this family of 5 that gets seated at the table next to us and then they start talking and laughing and just wouldnít STFU. whatís wrong with people? They were so rude I decided not to leave a tip.

I have a three year old and I can say the phone is our last resort when he is going crazy at a restaurant. There is no volume just him staring at the screen instead of interrupting others. As soon as the phone comes out it’s gone and he has to eat.

If it’s not busy and there is room to run or explore I am letting him do it, but ones you start seeing people get annoyed it’s tome for the next plan of attack.

This. I could care less how they are raising their kids just get some headphones so we donít have to share the experience.
