Sad to see him go, but he damn sure earned it. Nice to go out on top.

Future Hall of Famer.

If you've ever seen or read anything about Gronk, you would realize that his NFL salary is just a small portion of his income. He has a couple of brothers that he has been in business with for years and when reading something about him in the past, he said he has never lived off of his NFL salary, that it has always gone 100% into investments or business endeavors. Check out Gronknation.com. Smart grounded guy that is getting out when the getting is good.....

I read the other day he hasn't spent a penny of the money he's earned on his NFL contracts

Sad day. Incredible talent that beat some tough injury odds coming out of college. True success story.

He blocked as well as any tight end of this generation—and unlike so many gifted offensive tight ends, he embraced blocking as part of his job. He caught the ball downfield as well as any tight end of this generation. The other three greats of this century, Jason Witten, Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates, averaged between 10.8 and 12.4 yards per reception. Gronkowski averaged 15.1, more than Jerry Rice (14.8) and Tyreek Hill (14.6).

He is supposedly very good with his money too. I believe he actually did an interview on CNBC. He didn't touch hardly a dime of his NFL money until like 5-6 years in.

Smart move. Guy is probably worth a couple $100mm at this point. Between all the endorsements, advertising etc. I'm sure that will continue into his retirement as well. 10 hard years to retire at 30? Sounds worth it to me.

I figured he and Brady would go out together. Doesn't seem like Brady is going out anytime soon.
