Every time I think there might be a light at the end of the tunnel WRT race-based hatred, some bozo like your neighbor comes along to dash my hopes.

Just because there are some racists doesn't mean everyone is. It seems like there are a good number of black people who don't like white people too. People who think race issues will ever completely go away are delusional. It's always existed and there will also be people who don't like anyone different to them. This is not just a white/black problem.

Pisses me off that people in 2019 are still this ignorant. Also pisses me off because obviously itís potentially money out of my pocket.

Anyone ever have a neighbor kill a sale?
I had something like that happen with me but I was the buyer. I did the typical drive buy on the potential investment property that was listed for sale and to check out the area. I had the wife and my 10 yr old son in the car and within 2 seconds of parking in the guest parking space and getting out of the car to look around , this old natzi condo commander comes sprinting across toward us and yelling at us , who are we visiting, why are you here blah blah blah. I said easy we are just looking at the area and apartment that is listed for sale. She just kept yelling and saying this is private property and we had no right to be there despite the property being listed for sale with a for sale sign. She went full nutzoid until I finally had enough with her yelling and I said you are a complete Biarch and no thanks . No way I would consider buying that property . At which time she went full blown retard and tried to hit me. I was tempted to let the home owner know how her neighbor treated potential buyers. If that was my property or even the realtor I would have been completely pissed as it was a potential easy 500K sale. I wont even consider any property for sale in that community cause of that nutjob.

I'm not a big fan of lawyers but right is right and wrong is wrong.

I'd have an attorney draft a letter of intent to sue for tortious interference....it's real. You can choose to not follow through if they stop their nonsense.

I like to live on enough property that it would be a difficult shot to reach my neighbors.

If we listed today, the neighbors probably wouldn't say anything to us; and they'd have to work at approaching anyone looking at the property.
Pretty sad that this is par for the course these days. No shade on you, I've been in mostly similar situations with most of my neighbors over the years. I miss the "extended family" feel of the neighborhood as a kid but maybe it's just nostalgia cause I'm f'ing old?

You will have to dodge the pistol smoker, kids toys and dead appliances all over the front yard.

The struggle is real. I acknowledge it is a starter home for me but the rest of the neighborhood is PISSED and a vigilante posse is forming. No HOA and our city code enforcement is pretty weak. I'm trying to stay out of it since they are directly next door to me and I work out of town right now but they do piss me off. They also have a fatass toddler that has gotten loose on three separate occasions, come over to my front porch and rang the doorbell while my wife was asleep. The third time, I was home, went over, rang their doorbell and the dumb bitch that answered had NO IDEA their fucking three year old was outside. They are trash.

And that's why some of us don't mind being part of a good HOA or live in a city with strong code enforcement.

I'd love to live near someone that uses the words "retard" and "natzi" describing something. People who live in glass houses...

I get asked about racial demographic more than how good the school district is.
I cannot imagine having to deal with clients like that.

Well, you could try that, but could the neighbor also contend that the seller failed to disclose that his neighbor was an asshat to the potential purchasers??

Thanks for all all the input so far. Iím certainly not
one to be sue happy unless there ultimately ended up being monetary loss that made it worthwhile. Although just the threat of that to them is certainly appealing. We did have another good offer come in. Ultimately this will likely end up as more a principal thing and making sure they are well aware that we know what they pulled than it will end up being any sort of litigation issue.

It's interesting because the first group I mention cringe when they say it, but still say it and it matters. It comes out like "So....what are the demographics here? Are the people.......mostly.................white???????? Are there a lot of.............blacks or ......... Mexicans???????"

I would march over to the neighbor's house and tell them what they owe you in order to buy the right to choose their neighbors. When they tell you they can't pay that price tell them they better find some white people who can in a hurry. The next person with a matching offer will be your neighbor. Who knows, maybe you will get a higher offer and your racist neighbor will have done you a favor?
On a side note, how did you not know your neighbors don't like Hispanics? If you did know you probably could have given them a heads up. Something like, I know you don't really like Hispanics but these people seem ok and have made the high offer on the house. I am planning on accepting it unless a better offer falls in my lap real soon. I hope you understand.

Sounds like you need a fixer to take care of the neighbor from getting involved
