The Women of Rock

Post up yours...…...

Chrissie Hynde was about 66 years old when she performed at ACL "Middle of the Road" back in 2017.

Song came out in 1984, I would say that is getting it done.

My first concert was Pat Benetar in 1982. Billy squire opened. Amazing... Especially for a 15 year old kid. 35 years later, I saw her playing an acvoustic show with just her husband on guitar. I believe she was 64 at the time. She is still amazing.

Joan Jett and Cheryl Crowe top my list

I saw Pat Benetar preform at a bar named "Peabody's" here in va beach, right about the time she was getting popular.
I can't remember the year.

I saw Joan Jett perform in Bagram, Afghanistan when I was there. She was awesome and you could tell she really loved performing for the troops. Her and her piano player said they have played in every military theater of operation they were allowed to since the 80ís. She will forever be my favorite for that!

I liked Nancy Wilson (Heart) in the 70s. Great guitar player too. Some of it might have just been the novelty of a girl rocker in 1975 tho. These days there are plenty of hot female country stars.

I agree, saw them live with John Couger opening for them. She's smoking hot and can rip. They blew John Couger away.

Yep you could take all of the above mentioned and form a super group called "Chrissie Hynde and the Rest"

Saw Cheryl Crow. Few years back and she was great!

So did I! With Bret and Sammy Hagar, who is still killing at at 70!

The Wilson sisters (Heart) were still amazing a couple years ago, but not as much fun for the eyes as they were at the Yale Bowl in 1980.

Saw Florence and the Machine years ago. Had no idea who they were (they weren't really anyone then), and damn did she kill it. Fan ever since.
