Default The Craziness behind the Dude that Jumped on Pelican...

Anybody been paying attention to this story?
https://www.flkeysnews.com/news/stat...dcWNfr97tM4SAU

Crazy thing is our Sheriff is playing politics by charging him with Animal Cruelty...which is a felony...in order to extradite him from Maryland. IMO, this is all because of the Social Media Mob that is in a complete meltdown screaming that he should spend the rest of his life in jail, be fed to the birds, etc... Here is a link to the Sheriffs FB page and the local Facebook page. You should scroll down and read the comments...

I get that the dude is a tool and should pay the penalty for "feeding a pelican" and am not taking up for him. I just hate to see our justice system destroy a guys life over a foolish thing. The bird was not injured in ANY way and quickly bit the guy in the face and flew off

Anyway...just didn't know if you have seen this?

The guy is a scumbag and lives off the coattails of his family, who are genuinely good people, unlike this dirtbag. I know most of the people in his family, too.

Time to be taught a lesson and I have no sympathy whatsoever for him!

What he did was beyond stupid....who the heck thinks it's okay to jump on and then grab a pelican? From what little I've read this is not his first run in with the law...

Many of the same people who are calling him scumbag and a tool have no problem shooting a deer or hooking a fish for fun and sport.

If he was convicted for everything on his rap sheet, this shouldnt even be an issue. He should have gotten the needle long ago.

I suspect you did not read this.

Yep, hope he shows up at your front door
Hardesty Has Been Arrested for Drug Possession Multiple Times

In 2014, police in Anne Arundel county arrested Hardesty and three other individuals after a raid on a hotel room in Annapolis, Maryland. Hardesty was 26 years old at the time.Officers had first been alerted to the group when they checked a vehicle at the Harbour Center south of Annapolis and discovered drug paraphernalia and money. They also found a key card for a hotel room. Officers went to the hotel and said they smelled marijuana coming from the room, so they obtained a warrant and searched the room, finding 8.2 grams of heroin, 14 grams of marijuana and 19 tablets of oxycodone hydrochloride. Hardesty and three others were arrested after that search.Separately, Hardesty was arrested and charged with possession of drugs when he was 19, in 2011. Police said that after his initial arrest, he made bail and then remained “at large” as police searched for him.3. Hardesty Has Previously Been Arrested for Assault & Robbery

In 2016, Anne Arundel police charged Hardesty with beating and robbing a man outside of a bar. Police also charged a second man, Eugene George Morris, in the same crime. The victim in the case told police that Hardesty and Morris attacked him outside of a bar called Moni’s Place; he said that they stole his wallet. Police were called to the scene at a little after 1w1PM. When they searched the area, they found Hardesty and Morris hiding behind a dumpster. The alleged victim identified them as his attackers, and they were charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft. Hardesty was also charged with resisting arrest.4. Hardesty Was Charged With ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute’ Oxycodone

Hunter Hardesty has a number of drug arrests on his record. In 2011, he was charged with “possession with intent to distribute” of Oxycodone. He was also charged with possession of marijuana and possesion of drug paraphernalia. The charges came after police in Anne Arundel county seized 300 Oxycodone pills, 6.6 grams of marijuana, 7.6 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and various types of CDS drug paraphernalia with a total estimated street value of $9,398.00. Also seized was $18,826 in cash, a 1995 Chevy Impala, a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle, and 6 rifles.5. Hardesty Says He Works for an Electrical Company in Davidson, Maryland

Hardesty’s Facebook page lists his employer as JW Frew Electric. JW Frew Electric describes itself as “a family-owned Maryland Electrical Contractor currently operating from Gaithersburg Maryland. JW Frew was formed in 2001 and maintains a continuing and conscience effort to provide a product which meets or exceeds the client expectations. JW Frew Electric is a Union Shop and with its skilled Labor and elevated expectations, it continues to flourish since its inception.”

It ain't what he did to the pelican. It's what he has been doing for a long time and the law has a good chance to F up his world again.

Anyone who poo poo's this I hope he Robs you and Rapes your wife while he is drowning his next victim and you get to watch that on face book.

There is a damn good reason this has escalated to these charges. I hope it's a technicality in reverse for his ass.

He has done all this shit and is having fun in the Keys where many of us hard working folks can't afford to go that have never committed the crimes this fella has been convicted for.

Some of you make me sick!

So you're in favor of mob lynchings? Thankfully, that's not how our system works.

Just because you get a traffic ticket doesn't mean you are guilty. Only after you go to court or pay the fine, which is then an admission of guilt.

Not condoning what the guy did, just find the trend of social media "justice" disturbing. It now seems acceptable to bully individuals or companies at the drop of a hat.

He did it and proved it on camera. Evidence enough for me. I wish he had video of all the other charges he has had.

The guy is a piece of shit! I call it video evidence not social media justice.

It is on video... are you being serious? Due process will prevail but there is no denying what happened. Your post is comical.
