Okay, sorry.. I had to post because today is dragging so I needed to talk boats and such.. I am reading, but had to type.

How about someone post some pictures of your favorite offshore fishing or maybe a video?

Just trying to take my mind off my boat not being here lol.. and it is Friday...

So... who here fishes out of Texas?

Glad its dragging for somebody else too.
I won't get back to the boat til next weekend, but that'll be for a 10-day stay, so at least there's that.
This was last weekend. Threw back some of the biggest ARS we've seen in a while. Kept our limit of three hubcap triggers and some nice lanes.

lI think technically its "American Red Snapper" but we usually say "Dammit....Another Red Snapper!"

Most people throw trigger back, but we fillet em and either grill or bake the filets. Their skin is tough as hell, and they're a pain to clean, but the meat is great and worth it to us. It's a little denser meat than snapper with a similar light white taste.

We were around 35 miles west of Pinellas County, fishing out of Ft Desoto boat ramp. It's a little over an hour and a half to tow down there, but we can get to some deeper water a lot quicker...up here 35 miles is about 60 feet, down there is 120'..

We will make the same trip when ARS opens on June 11th, only we will be in Ft Desoto campground with family and friends for several days and see how much we can plunder the red army....
