Burgundy shirt and black pants? Are you the DJ ?

Agree with the above light twill suit with a blue shirt, no tie. Or at least a light color button down shirt (long sleeves), and light pants and loafers. 10 minutes in most department stores you’d find what you need.

1. Ask wife what you should wear to the wedding. She may want your outfit and hers to coordinate.
2. Ask wife to pick out clothes from closet (or store if necessary)
3. Compliment wife on her good taste and fashion sense
4. Enjoy accumulating brownie points (Spring arrives next week, and the fishing will be heating up)

Burgundy shirt & black pants?
Something tells me you should burn your current wardrobe in it's entirety and start over. Have your wife take you shopping, let her pick out your new clothes and don't worry about how much it all costs.

Unless she was complicit in obtaining said items. In that case, seek help elsewhere ..... after burning current wardrobe

OTOH if you are that guy who will be doing keg stands by the end of the reception, what you picked out is completely appropriate

Have fun

Holy shit, are you going to the Jersey Shore and putting tons of product in your hair? What is your GTL routine? Or are you going to prom?

Outdoor wedding: If you are not in the wedding party, keep it classic. Nice chinos, light blue oxford shirt, navy linen blend sport coat. You could go colored pants btu that might be a little beyond you.

Alternatively, a nice blue, gray or cream linen blend or chino suit. Something like this:

Take it to a tailor and get it fitted

Disagree for an outdoor wedding. Indoor or church wedding with fancy reception after definitely agree.

Is FL not southern enough for seersucker? Last wedding I went to (at a horse farm) allowed me to grace my favorite suit....it was 90 degrees out, too.

Seersucker is great, but not everyone can pull it off

You might be right...can a guy that thinks he can pull off the burg/black combo be able to pull off a classic warm weather look?

Normally, I always wear a suit to a wedding. However, if it's an outdoor wedding in a hot climate, this is acceptable. I would however, maybe go with a tie and wear not so much khaki but more formal dress "slacks".
