I'm not Catholic and I've never given up anything for Lent but this seems like a neat idea.

Think of it as a New Year's resolution that only lasts a week.

The last time I lent out my chainsaw, my "friend" brought it back when it "just stopped working". He did bring back the rest of the oil and gas I lent him.

My dad always liked his beer and cigs. As a kid, I remember him giving up both for Lent. Holy Moly, us kids couldn't WAIT for Lent to be over! He was so damn crabby and grouchy! LOL

I was raised Catholic, my aunt is a nun, I was an altar boy. Couldn't eat meat on Friday, can't do this or that because it's lent. First they said , go ahead eat meat, it's no big deal, then the 2 most religious, holier then God, priests I knew, left the church and married 2 nuns from the local all girls high school. That's when I realized organized religion, for me, is just a control money making scam. I have no problem with people who are religious, but for me, not a chance. Heading to Smash Burger as we speak.
