So would a Fiat 124 Spider be classified as a Japanese car, a US car or Italian car?

When someone sends me a design drawing that has both Americam and metric dimensions we call it a Canadian print. Maybe this fits?

That is a bit surprising, I've only ever gotten thumbs up and "nice car" while in mine. Even though it's "only" a Corvette it still gets a lot of attention.

Let's distill it down to the basics..Gentlemans car, or Man's car? Air conditioning and radio, or a seat belt and throttle pedal?

Seems like you want more of an exotic than sports car, a car you enjoy more owning than driving. There’s nothing wrong with that but I’d be lost if I wouldn’t consider German cars. I’d go Cobra over Viper, from there it would be more class than sporty, older Aston Martin? Collectible.

Interestingly enough, I saw on Motorweek yesterday that JD Powers ranked the Porsche 911 as the most dependable car made.

This kinda makes sense, not enough room to haul anything of significant weight around in it and somewhat overpowered for daily driving. Most people with the budget to buy one have the money to do the required PM and take care of it.

Have you ever driven one? They daily drive just as easily as a Honda Accord. Might not have as much trunk space but it has room for shopping. Overpowered, LOL

My Corvette is the same way, it's as docile as a lamb until you hit the loud pedal and then the magic happens.

I don;t find a Honda Accord as an easy daily drive. Every Honda I've ridden in rides like a wheel barrow and sounds like a washing machine.

My response was not in reference to how they drive or feel as a daily driver, but rather to available power and the impact this has on longevity of the motor. Point taken.

For our 3rd car I'm looking for a mistress, not a wife if that helps.

Exotic and I definitely don't consider a 911 an exotic.

I'd say at this point you've had every car mentioned to you, pick one.
