Mostly. Weston is open. Most of bars and restaurants are open Caneel bay is not open. Beaches are open.

I've only been here 9 months and was never here before storms. Let me know if I can answer any questions

Warfside is not fully rebuilt yet. Beach bar has a temporary bar set up on the sand in front of the existing bar and the rum hut is still under construction. Most other places have reopened. Beaches are nice but there is very little shade as lots of the trees and mangroves got washed away or blown over. If you’re wondering if it’s time to return, yes, it’s time!

At race Saturday morning I heard people talking about placing bids to begin construction. Don't know if any of it was true.

On St John now, lots of visitors.

Caneel Bay is still negotiating its long term land lease. The local business folks think it will all work out and they will be back in business by 2021 season.

The island is in rather good shape considered we got hit with back to back cat 5's a little over a year ago.

I am going to paste a response I posted re St John about a month ago.

The most important parts of St John are all back. The beaches, the hiking trails, most of the rental villas and a good percentage of the restaurants and bars.

Cruz bay is as special as ever, as result of the rebuilding it is really fresh looking and quite enjoyable.

Whats not back, is Caneel Bay Resort,The Westin just reopened, Four of the top end restaurants including ZOZO's and Asolare.

With all that said, we just had one of the busiest Christmas seasons and the majority of the villas are fully booked for the winter.

We have two types of visitors, the returning family that still finds all the things that they really loved about the St John, but can see the remaining signs of the massive devastation to their favorite island and then there is the new first time visitor that thinks the island is amazing and has no idea about the losses and changes post storm.

The recovery efforts by all were amazing and contrary to popular belief, FEMA, The Federal Government including the Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Army and the Air Force were on point within hours and many groups are still here helping the island recovery programs. Best involvement by our government I have witnessed in my 30 years on the islands.

Thank you for the responses. Sad that ZOZO and Asolare aren’t open. What about Paradiso? Those were three of my favorite restaurants.
I think we’ll be down in July.

edit- I see Paradiso closed back in 2010 or so.
