Not a lot of info. Don't know what led them to arrest him and search. Doesn't appear he did anything wrong. Have to see how this pans out.

No, but it is true, we all instantly become suspects having demonstrated behavior that rates being stopped and searched by waterborne law enforcement just because we have the financial resources to own a boat. Total over step of the Constitution on every level and just because my tax dollars are used to fund a law enforcement and occasional rescue service called the coast guard, there is no reason that I have to be happy about it.

Save the patriotism and service lecture, did my bit for 8 years with the Corps and have the honorable discharge, naval aviators wings and other trinkets earned for having done my part. I don’t feel compelled to blow anyone just become they are in the military including the coast guard, who are in my experience often a nuisance and on a power trip.....

Plenty of info now.

Joint investigation by the FBI and Coast Guard Investigative Service.

Was emailing people as to how he would kill large numbers of people including using homemade biological weapons. Thousands of online searches for Neo-nazi and pro-Russian writings. Emails about his opioid abuse. Emails of lists of democrats and journalists he wanted to kill, including statements about stockpiling weapons and supplies.

Looks like the system worked as it is intended to on this.

Seems this guy wanted Lefties dead, let's hold judgment until all the facts come out.

Any second rate lawyer will be able to get this guy off of the most serious charges. He wrote about his intentions, but hadn't done anything to anyone to the best of our current knowledge. Insanity defense with the insanity caused by anabolic steroids. Oh, and he may have been nuts before the steroids as well.

Maybe some sites have a tripwire on them, look at too much anti government, crazy stuff and you get tagged.

I'm certainly glad someone decided to act BEFORE he acted out. Been too many of these crazies going off when there was plenty of warnings that were ignore. Glad they got him. Good work.

That's not a lot of guns and ammo. I'm just saying...

Also hit too many search terms such as "Are supreme court justices protected by security" "What neighborhoods do most senators live in DC"

Also "Hasson frequently sought instruction from a manifesto written by Anders Breivik, a far-right, anti-Muslim Norwegian nationalist who was convicted in 2012 of two terror attacks that killed 77 people. "

I don't know why people are standing up for this guy. It looks like the system did exactly what it is supposed to do, and what it normally doesn't do that we all bitch about later. This is a good example of not needing new laws, that when we actually use the current ones properly, it works.

This story was "on hold" as a diversion, awaiting for Jussie Smollett to be charged.

Now you don't have to, just run from the Coasties, when they grab you at your house claim you feared for your safety just like the boys in the hood do, and they will let you go saying your fear was reasonable.

Then run shallow when they can only run deep.

LOL, did just that as a kid, had a 15 on back of my 12' tin boat, Marine police started over in my direction, I panicked and hit the gas, there Whaler was gaining on me fast, I turned quick into mud city (Manahawkin) got into about 6" of water and cut the throttle. They came off plane and I hit the gas again, they were stuck in the mud and I got away.

My dad almost kicked my ass when I told him, I ripped the sticker with max HP posted and kept my fingers crossed after that, knowing I was a kid I figured nothing real could happen to me. Oh to be young and dumb.

How does one become a 49 year old lieutenant, that's a junior officer. Most officers in their 40's are retiring as commanders and captains.
