Default Build your own threads, where?

Now I am thinking I'd like to build a little 15' plywood boat this summer (from a kit). I seem to remember a couple threads on guys building boats back when I was active in the 'Boating' forum. Can't find them now. I did find some other websites, mostly ones run by the companies selling the plans (which is okay). Just thought there was a forum here...

I've been around here for a bit and I don't recall seeing a dedicated forum or sub-forum. I have seen numerous re-build threads, mostly in "Boating."

I've also been on and around the Bateau forums for a LONG time. They are one of the sell/support sites, but they do a great job. Dedicated forum for questions, and often times either Jacques or Evan (the designers) answer your questions directly.

There was a high school kid on here a while ago who was building his own boat. Lots of pics and much advice the thread. Will look around for it when I get to a computer.

i had forgot about that, wonder how it turned out, post up a link if you find the thread.

not a kit boat like you’re thinking but a guy in south Mississippi or Alabama had an epic build thread in the photos section. Worth a read if you haven’t seen it, I’ll try to find it.

It did not and what a shame. I was really learning a lot from Scratchnsaw's post.

I guess, like a lot of kids, openrose lost interest.
