Lightbulb Natural Deodorants... Bye-Bye Tom's of Maine. Hello Schmidt's!

Been using Tom's of Maine for years - since before they were bought out. But lately - either because they changed or my own body's chemistry has changed -- the stuff doesn't work. By the end of the day (or before) my pits smelled. And it has gotten expensive!

Wife brought home some stuff called "Schmidts" in a stick. The unit cost is actually LESS than Tom's of main because they give you more in a applicator. And you waste so much at the end that the more you start with the better. And it smells better. It does go on not as "smooth" -- but who cares -- it works.

I was using Trader Joe's natural... but that wasn't working great either (which is a surprise since I'm a big TJ cheer-leader)...

Thought I'd pass it along if we have any health conscious people here... Peace.

Thanks, OP for the recommendation!

A quick wipe of alcohol before applying will kill the bacteria causing the odor. Really helps.

If you want even cheaper here is a recipe my partner and I have been making for years.

Super easy, cheap and has worked well for us.

I switches years from Toms to arm and hammer natural

This smell is my favorite - well actually it is almost no smell. Nice wide stick, They have it in local stores but all they have is lemon scent which I hate. Made me small like a Joisy Floridian.

I used scmitts. Beware sometimes the product will close the pours ,which create small cysts. They went away after stopping use. Great product until them.

Tom's of Maine crew here. Been using their product since inception, their cinnamon toothpaste was one of my first memories in life 30 something years ago.

Have tried the hippy stuff bayrunner posted, it works but the stuff I was given was too scented.

Pete where is this Schmidt product sold? Normal stores like target?

Big factor for me is drinking enough water. The better hydrated the less smelly your sweat is. Get away with just a bit of cologne most days.
