We have two walk-in freezers at work, a -20° and -40° C. The -20 isn’t too bad to be in but the -40 is brutal. Even with all our PPE I can only take a few minutes in the -40. Hats off to you all that live in those frigid conditions.

Brutal. We're looking at -10 below in NJ on Thursday.

This has been a miserable winter. Yesterday we had 2-3" of snow. Followed by rain. Followed by a flash freeze. It went from 37 degrees down to 12 within 3-4 hours. Everything is a block of ice.

Not too bad here 29 now. Tonight supposed to get to 12. Don't think this front will last long enough to freeze the ocean like it did a few years back.

Just finished clearing the driveway. I’m in a lake effect snow belt on like Michigan we have had a couple of feet since in the last week. Wind chills in the - 30’s means using a snow blower is a special treat!

Back in about the mid 80's I took my wife skiing to Chestnut Mountain near Galena Il. They started closing the lodge in the middle of the night while we were sleeeping because they had to blow out the water lines. It was -26 with a -75 wind chill. Cars were froze up on the highway every half mile or so. I added a bottle of heat to gas tank about every half hour of driving. I thought we wouldn't make it but we did. Last time skiing.

That wouldn't take much. It's actually getting colder, -54 right now with wind chill! It's -58 along the Lake Michigan lakeshore (WI side).
