Default Coffee table making hobby

I saw another fella makes wood pens, which are beautiful. I make wood coffee tables from trees I cut off my place. I do it in the winter as a hobby. They're basic and homemade looking but they serve their purpose and they're sturdy. I just use hand tools.

Currently building a kitchen table out of cedar from a buddies property in North Carolina, my dilemma is matching the putty for the splits in the wood, and the varnish finish, have a brand or color chart you work with?

Stood it on end and ripped it down the middle with a chainsaw.

I just realized that some might think I mean non electric or no powered tools. I don't mean that. I mean I don't use bench planers, sawmill, etc.

The only time I've filled voids in wood like that, I used clear epoxy. It worked. In some places it did look a little milky under the poly.

That should work well in your castle.

Seriously, that's a big damn table.

I like the spacing of the slats and the way you integrated different colored wood.
Very stylish and modern.

Neat! Next you should try making old barns from distressed wood kitchen tables.
