Default Bargan Cave

Went to Cabelas here in Ct. end of last week to chk on ammo and figured I'd take a stroll thru the Bargain Cave, and it was gone. The room was there but it was filled with phoo, phoo blankey's and wild life pics in frames. When did the they junk the Bargain Cave?

I have found the bargain cave to be about 10% higher than shopping online. normal cabelas store prices are about 50% more...I don't know how they keep the doors swinging except for the 'gotta have it right now' crowd who will pay whatever

Agreed. The only time I go in there is when I have a fist full of gift cards, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

happened in Hamburg around late spring-early summer. I took my neighbors kid and his friend in April and saw that they finally dropped the prices A LOT on some of the stuff that's been sitting there literally forever. There were a handful of inverter generators that were there since 2008-ish. They were priced around $800 until that trip where I noticed they were $350. I almost bought all of them. I went back about 6 weeks later and everything was pretty much gone. All that was in there was basically clothing. I'd bet they sent all that good stuff to auction/liquidation.

This is a move by Bass Pro after the sale. My understanding is that some stores will retain a Bargain Cave and others will not. I have a Cabelas about 15 minutes from us and we make a monthly visit to check out the cave. Lately we have noticed that there is a lot less merchandise than normal. The cave has always had some weird items in it, I live in Wisconsin but we always have some salt water related fishing gear on hand from D.O.A. Shrimp to surf rods on occasion.

I've scored a couple salt water reels in there also.

Bargain cave on line went down hill as soon as BPS took over. BPS quality is on par with Walmart.
