That's a damn nice find, and if it's any indication of what's being thrown in it, I think you'd better go dig through that dumpster some more! Who knows what else they've thrown in it!

Nope, don’t plan on that. It does have some minor “use” scratches on the ears and prop. Unfortunately there is a couple inch scratch on the back of the lower unit that doesn’t show in the pics that looks fresh. Likely from being dropped in a scrap metal dumpster. As a kid I had a 1955 Fleetwin in the mid sixties so it should be a fun retirement toy for the small freshwater lakes nearby.

Wow, talk about good Karma!
You will need to pay this forward. Specifically, by sending me a 1963 3 hp Evinrude Yachtwin in the same shape.
I'd kinda like to have my first motor back.

Nice, that would go perfect with a 14 foot Jon boat.

I like how the cowling hinges up for easy access on the lake.
It brings back memories of doing engine work out on the water.

Wow that's awesome...no shame in dumpster diving. I love the landfill! I've found some good stuff there. Nothing like that little gem tho.

Know a guy that found a smaller quad 4 wheeler in the trash 2 years ago.

I went through it and there was nothing wrong with it.
Apparently it had sat unused and the carb, etc. got all gunked up and as a result couldn’t get it started and threw it out.

He was giving it to his 9 year old daughter so I completely restored it for just cost.

Over the years I’ve seen people throw all kinds of new-ish items in the trash I guess because they just had no further use of it or were just to cheap or stupid to know how to fix it or just wanted it gone.

Precisely. I reported it stolen last week and was hoping it would turn up somewhere. PM me for address and shipping instructions. I'll even cover the return freight charges.

Whew. I was really scared to open this thread after seeing the title. I was afraid that this involved sexting.

This is actually the first thing I ever brought home from the dump other than a nail in the tire.
