Drunk drivers run stop signs, stoners just wait for them to turn green.

Exactly. I don't think there is an easy way to do this now.

Right? Pens, gummies, cookies, etc are the new thing. They're everywhere here in NC where it's not legal.

I personally don't partake but I think it's time for legalization. It's unbelievable in that in the socialist liberal republic of NJ, they haven't legalized it yet. Probably because our governor could F up a free lunch. Anyway, pretty crazy VA legalized it first.

I have a couple points:

1) They should come out with a ticket for use in public. Not a misdemeanor, but at least something to deter public use. It's fine in your backyard or home. However, fiance' and I get really annoyed walking through NYC and it smells like someone lit a skunk on fire.
2) They have to figure out something with testing. Very difficult but something needs to be figured out. Can't have people driving around stoned.
3) Would love to see some of the tax revenue go towards reducing property taxes.
back at it likes this.

Recreational was passed 2 years ago in Mass by ballot initiative. The pot shops just started opening about 2 months ago. If it happened in Mass it can happen anywhere.

It's a long way from legal in VA.

A single Hampton Roads legislator introduced a bill...it probably won't pass.

The stigma that existed is fast-fading.

We had a potential investor decline to invest in our company, he was sorry but he decided to put all of it into a pot warehouse in Nevada.

Oh well, yeah, lol. Probably won't then.

NJ is trying to get amnesty for those serving time for petty marijuana possession. Kinda ironic. Once they figure that out, it will supposedly be legalized.

confirmed nicotine gum chewer here.

And come to think of it, while i havent smoked "flower" in years I enjoy gummies regularly.

most everybody I know who indulges in THC regularly uses some sort of alternative method, as opposed to just smoking the flower. It's gotten a lot more refined.

There's gold in dat der green!

The permitting process can be a bitch. The one investor in Oregon is permitted for medical use. They applied for a recreational permit in Cali and are still getting screwed around with that. Since each state has their own laws and systems of control, it's a PITA, but they are doing quite well so far.

A sad prediction. Our only hope is that much of the state is still rural and republican. It's Northern Virginia and a few cities like Richmond and Norfolk that tip the scales.

If the warehouse has that much in it that they are looking for investor's, who would likely be savvy enough to make sure it's insured, how would an insurance policy be written?
Just trying to figure that out. Maybe it's just declared value.
