Do you and the other poster even read? He said it only happens with this site. In other words he spends lots of time looking close at the screen on other sites and it doesn't happen. So the you need to look away every now and then theory is wrong!

no, it doesn't bother my eyes but then I stayed at Holiday Inn last night...

I have tried brighness settings but get same results.....
Because, If you're like me, You spend 10 minutes looking at other sites, and 10 hrs looking at THT.

I know that after viewing some of the threads on THT, eye bleach is required. Maybe you're just using to much? Cut back to one drop in each eye.

well...I did save 15% by switching to Geico so I guess its all good.
