Default Meguiar's G190526 Hybrid Ceramic Wax

I put this new product on my rims about two weeks ago. Actually I put it on two of four tires, so I could see the difference. I cleaned them well then followed the directions. Its really for paint but it seems you can use if for almost anything. Anyway it works well, see the video link

Cool I'm going to try it on the top side of my boat and hull as a maintenance coat.

They need to do something about their packaging, mine arrived leaking. Luckily the bag it was in held the product in

Body and wheels, whole car actually. Initial application you spray it on wet car and use a mf towel to spread it all over. Then I rinsed it good and dried well. Fantastic shine. Future applications you just spray it on wet car, rinse with aggressive stream of water (activates it), towel dry.

Is this something I could use on my gelcoat outside and non skid deck to help keep the scum from sticking?

Too new to tell I assume. It was just released. Unless folks down south can report on it after few weeks of usage. Just rolled out end of Dec 2018.

I am going to try it on topsides and hard top t-top this spring after detail and see if it helps and report back. Maybe the hull if I hear others have success

I've got a bottle of it but its winter and my boat is under wraps. Going to try it on the hood of my truck but it has been snowing and raining.

My bottle (from Amazon) came with a $5 rebate tag also.

Dont see why it wouldn’t work on boats, deck, brightwork, etc. Not sure I’d want it on the deck tho; might make it slippery. Since it’s activated (and spread) using water stream don’t know how you’d keep it off deck floors.

Wet snow just slides off my wife’s car hood.

Thanks for the post, gonna try it on wife’s Tahoe first.

I use Pinnacle wax on my Vette but looks like this may work as a top coat as well

Someone on one of the other car wax threads in early December recommended “Carguys hybrid wax sealant” - this is also a spray on wax, it is $20 on amazon.

So far I’m very happy with it. I’ve applied it twice - I’m honestly not sure I get the same gloss / “depth” that a good paste wax would give, although I’m putting it on relatively new vehicles and not especially picky about that. It does bead water for a month with no problem and importantly the cars have been much easier to wash off - they’ll actually turn out clean after a heavy rain or quick hose off. Application couldn’t be easier, it sprays on like windex and then you just buff the panel with a microfiber cloth. I can “wax” my full size truck in about 10 mins even in the sun.

Very happy with this product overall, and at my current rate the $20 bottle will last a year.
