I just don't understand why some team didn't just claim him off waivers. They could have had him even cheaper and the suspension would have already been set.
that is the rub, when the suspension starts. The league has not finished investigating, and they are investigating three incidents against him. I heard today the Browns said they expect to hear within two weeks and the league said they are no where near finished investigating.

I figure the browns will grow impatient and cut ties.

As for waivers, it’s a rule nuance. Even though Hunt was on the commissioners exempt list, meaning he did not count as a roster spot, in order to claim him, a team needs to have roster room. A team would have had to waive a player, claim hunt, then try to reclaim the player they just waived or sign someone else. Simply not worth it given Hunt would be available in the off season.

one group use the term endearingly, the other hatefully. your only reason for objecting is that when you use the word you are taken to task.
Really? You know the context of the word based on who is using it? Your view is an equal conundrum as to why the word is acceptable by one group, but not another.

He needed to be claimed to have a suspension levied against him.

Teams drop and claim players weekly throughout the season, wouldn't have been that difficult. Not to mention placing a player on IR which is a weekly thing it seems.
It would have been worth it to have him cheap and have the suspension already levied and started.
His suspension will likely be levied right before the season starts. The NFL will want to see how he behaves, and they like to screw with teams that sign these guys.

cowboys

this is an unfortunate part of sports, the team vested takes a hit for doing the right thing and a vulture picks up the scraps...something needs to change

This is why I love THT. I get to watch someone defend beating women for the words they may use, and I now know that over 300 people in this country are named Abcde.

F'ing Fantastic!

For that matter very few of us should be allowed as parents lol I myself (if u are gonna judge me by past actions) should def not be a parent.

In this case I agree with you whole heartedly
smaller violations not so worried about but the drugs and abuse definitely need some actions taking

your assuming i use the word and you dont even know me? that really speaks volume on your part!

the only ones using that word are the same ones that claim racism, also happen to be the only ones who stand to gain anything out of it! coincident, probably not!
