Holy crap.

I just bought a 1/2 gallon of 2% this afternoon. It was 4.99. So 9.98 a gallon. Norcal.

Fun fact.

I pulled led into a station in Orlando near the Vineland outlet mall and 87 octane was $5.99 a gallon. I put my card in and stood in disbelief. I canceled out and left. Turns out there are a couple stations near the tourist area that attempts to trap tourists oblivious to the price.

Some reports about it on the internet but seems like they would make more money on volume at a reasonable price

gas around that area was $2.20 gallon

But overall all gas prices have not fallen at the same rate of the oil price decline.
Every $10 drop in oil should be about 24 cent drop in a gallon of gas so if oil goes to zero you'll still be paying about $1.05 a gallon where you are theoretically. The rest is taxes, refining cost, transportation cost, and everyone's overhead and profit along the way. Only the oil cost portion of gas price has dropped there has not been a change in taxes ect.
