Default T-Mobile

What say you about T-Mobile service? Signal strength etc? We need 3 lines, 2 personal and my business line. I don’t want to buy phones from them only to be carrier locked. I’d buy 2 new iPhone X’s and use my 6 for business. I can get 3 limes for $90 month with all fees as a Disabled Vet. Pretty good savings.

Signal is inferior to Verizon/AT&T in rural areas, but just as good in major cities, and sometimes faster.

I would use real data to make this comparison vs any of our reviews, as none of us use our phones in exactly the same areas you will.

Have a visitor here at work from Philly. All of our facilities are in fairly rural locations, and she has zero signal at any of the 3. The rest of us are on Verizon or ATT, and are working just fine.

They are supposedly merging with Sprint in the near future, not sure what that means as far as pricing goes. I have been with Sprint since 2003 and have been fairly happy, will be interesting to see what the merger will offer.

Thanks, I guess it's pretty much dependent upon where you live obviously. A buddy of mine local to me has the service and no issues at all. I actually just called TMobile. The new iPhones support dual SIMs. They've got an eSIM and a standard SIM. I can technically have one phone with two phone numbers. That alone is a big savings on the cost of a phone.

Funny you brought them up, I today spent 1h37m on the phone with them, being forwarded 6 times I think each time starting from scratch with name, pin, describing problem, etc. This was after 30m on the phone with them yesterday. Issue still not resolve, said they would send in a refresh and to wait 24 hours again.

I'm trying to get my home phone number ported to them, it says it's complete 5 days ago. Still getting calls on my home phone, not the cell. I do understand the challenges to port phones, but it was really pissing me when they kept saying that I need to put my sim in a different phone, or to power it off and back on. I finally shouted enough and said to please call my cell phone number, then picked up my land line when it rang and said see... this is the problem.

God help you if you need to call their troubleshooting line. Absolutely the worst group of barely speaking foreigners from some part of the world (India?)... and I've had to deal with Comcast, Verizon and others over the years.

I tried them, but I couldn't keep them. I had a repeater in my office and at home so I could use the phone indoors, but I still couldn't drive all the way home without dropping.

Recently a T-Mobile rep visited my office to sell me on a large qty of hotspots. He tried to use his phone for a conference call, but it kept dropping the call. I offered him use of my phone on Verizon. I kid not. This was just a few weeks ago.

As a bonus, when I left them, they didn't apply my last payment to my account and turned me over to a collection agency. Fortunately, I was able to prove their mistake and my credit wasn't damaged.

I have 10 trial hotspots. I have to put them in the windowsill to get them to work.

Verizon tech support is fantastic. I have 4 lines under a business unlimited account and pay $180/month. Every time I consider trying to save a few bucks I remember how bad my wife's experience (before being on our plan) anytime she had to go to a tmobile store or call them was.

T-mobile was running a special intro for 55 plus - 2 lines unlimited everything including taxes for $55.00 per month on auto pay, added 2 additional lines and insurances on my X model and it's only $90.00 per month - Dropped Sprint and saved $130.00 per month - No problem with services and spent most of the Summer in Russia for the World Cup.....

Just spoke to local store. 3 lines $90 with all fees. I'll buy two phones and have 2 lines on one.

No problems at all with service. Also, they don't sneak in extra services and start adding to your bill like ATT and Verizon. Youtube and Pandora don't count as data also.

My son and I travel to Colorado and beyond every spring break to go skiing. I have version he has cricket ( the ex has to pay for his phone service) I never go out of service with version, he is constantly losing coverage. The old saying you get what you pay for rings true in cell phone coverage. If you don't travel much and stay close to metropolitan areas the cheaper carriers may fit you. If you travel and want coverage ever where you go, than version and att are your best choices.

I have had T-Mobile for a year now and find no diff between it and Verizon. In the US, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular use CDMA
AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM. Most of the rest of the world uses GSM.
Bought my phone through Verizon swapped out the sim card was ready to go. 55+ plan plus vet discount

Your better off going to one of there stores and letting one of the millennials fix it.

Unlimited data usage?
You don't get that with Verizon
