My best friend has been to Afghanistan twice on two tours and said that some areas the homes have holes in the wall and the crap goes out of the make shift toilet into an alleyway. I've never been there so I'll take his word for it

My BIL can back that up...he's been on a few tours over there as well.

Says they are quite simply just disgusting people. We are pretty lucky in the west...

Actually luck is probably the wrong word.

Yeah fortunate is a good word for it...and it also has alot to do with the fact that we, historically, simply strive for more and better.

You don't see many world-changing inventions come out of those areas...

In short. I'm glad I live here. Minus the hurricanes. And fire ants.

I read the title and was certain the OP was talking about “The Villiages”..... I did not remember those scenes....then I went back and reread the title....that was funny. So much for my reading comprehension today.

I’ve spent 2 years (2 tours) in OIF... pretty much the same setup there. Hole in the floor with some plumbing that takes it into the alleyways. Always fun seeing someone step into the shit streams at night, except when it’s you! 🤣

A lot of the open areas aren't Sandy like you imagine a desert to be. Just hard pack. Much of the dirt blowing around isn't so much dirt, as dried up old crap.

If the women could get an education, things would change.
Third or fourth world countries all have one thing in common-no education for the women.
Men are basically pigs walking on two feet.
Don't ask me how I know. Oink!

I sort of watched the first episode last night and man, the Third World is, the Third World. It is no wonder people will do about anything to get the hell out.

It is interesting to see how some of those end up becoming who they are and why they do the things they do as had been shown in the first episode, being beaten down enough and I can see why some end up doing what they do.

What a world we still live in.
