Default home automation with IFTTT networks

Anyone know about home automation via If This / Then That (IFTTT) networks?

Yes. Don’t bother unless you want a flaky system that you are constantly dicking around with and troubleshooting.

I had a feeling it wasn't that robust given its infancy, but I still want to learn more about it. My daughter's hearing aids are IFTTT compatible, so I'm looking at possibilities focused around that.

Not remotely close for adoption. Too many IFs, no pun intended.

I use IFTTT in conjunction with some custom arduino boards and it seems to work well. Calls my cellphone if bilge pumps run too long or fridge temp is too high.

I use it in conjunction with an iSmartAlarm system. It arms the system every night for over two years now.

IFTTT works wonderfully in conjunction with Smarthings, Philips Hue, and other. My entire house is fully automated

To the OB..."What are your goals/needs?"
IFTTT is very broad. What are you trying to do?
Are you able to "hobbyist/enthusiast" build some of the equipment yourself? Or are you looking for off-the-shelf retail products ready to deploy?
