Read that many years ago he was speaking at a college and one of the students heckled him...." Thats not even your hair!!"..referring to his toupee....the other student took it it up etc.

Burt waited a moment and said...." Well, I paid $8000 for this ..so that DOES make it mine!"

The kids all cracked up and gave him a solid round of applause.

I’m sure the Jupiter people can relate to riding 4 wheelers on his old air strip, seeing his deserted mousoleum, he even has spots for his dogs.

He used to send annual funds to keep the frat house looking presentable. Lasted a few years until he got wind it was the keg fund.

He was great on screen, not so sure about him off. I'll miss him for his work.

It’s amazing the great roles he turned down.

Spent a lot of time on the ranch. Worked on prepping his houseboat to be painted (Miss Bandit). Worked at his restaurant Backstage, sat in for plays when he was in town so the dinner theater looked full. He was a very gracious man and always kind to me and my friends. What a big loss to an industry that has lost its entertainment goals. Rest In Peace Mr. Bandit!

There is a beautiful park with awesome boat ramp in Jupiter Fl. Named after him. Don't know if he donated all the money or was instrumental in raising money for it. Either way he was the MAN and he will be missed.

I consider myself a huge Burt fan and never heard of WW and the Dixie Dance Kings. I'll be watching it this weekend, thanks for the heads up!
