Default Odyssey Vs. Sam's East Penn/Deka

My boat batteries are now 4 years old. Where they sit is very hard to get to, and there are four Interstate group 27, I figure, with the Florida heat, they are probably due for changing. And what with all the wires, most of which i can barely see, and with my new knee I can't really twist around as well as a year ago. I know I will screw something up trying to change them myself. They are holding a a charge under load, as far as I know. They start the engines (twin F350s), generator, and house fine. I really can't change them myself, so just thinking I probably should just have my dealer change them out when I get the boat serviced in a month or so. I'll have the dealer check them under load, of course.

So I'm looking at replacement batteries, either the Deka group 31 battery at Sam's Club for $180, or I found the Odyssey group 31 battery for $439. Is the odyssey really that much better? What's the life span of these batteries (real life experiences, not the specs from their respective websites). Curious to see what others do. I'm in the pay more for less headaches mode. But are they worth it??

What say you??

I have an odyssey that did not hold up but my experience may not be typical ...

Deka is very good honoring warranty claims ...

I have personally cut a few million $’s in PO’s for East Penn products, and never once been let down.
